Privacy Policy

Meetpolis helps people in the same city do real-life activities together. This explains what data we use, why, and the choices you have. The data controller is Meetpolis (Poznań, Poland). Questions: support@meetpolis.app.

What we use and why

Your account: email, display name, home city, rough area, and the languages you pick, so we can run your account and form local groups.

What you tell us you want: city and activity interest, plus waitlist and event submissions, so we know where and what to open next.

Plans, groups, and group messages, so people can actually meet up.

Reports and blocks, so we can keep the community safe.

Privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible: no cookies, no personal data), loaded only if you allow it. We don’t sell your data.

We use a few service providers to run Meetpolis (hosting, sending emails, error monitoring). They only handle data to provide those services.

Your choices

You can export or delete your data anytime from the account pages, even without the app installed.

Marketing emails are optional, with one-click unsubscribe. The emails needed to run your account and the waitlist still send.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, or move your data, and object to some uses. Email support@meetpolis.app and we’ll help.

If you’re not happy with how we handle your data, you can contact the Polish data protection authority (PUODO).

Keeping your data

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete it, we remove your profile and anonymize past participation so groups stay consistent. We keep only what we still need for an open safety issue or what the law requires.

Age

Meetpolis is for adults (18 or older). If we find an account belongs to someone younger, we remove it.

External links

Event links point to other websites we don’t control. Check the details there before you go.
